The sports kit is now shipping. Please note this is an additional idea you can make with your kit. You will recieve a different set of instructions to make an entirely different album when you purchase the kit. You will need to add black cardstock to this kit.
I thought I would do up a free class here. This idea can be used many ways. An album per child per sports or season, or what I have chosen to do is to fill the album with all of the the kids sporting events throughout the years.....or you could highlight just one year. You choose it is your album!!!!
Supplies needed
1 TC-2686 -7x13 black tabbed album
1 TC-3089 -package of page protectors
2 sheets of 12x12 black cardstock
2- TC-8281 Zach's Sports numbers (one for cutting up numbers)
1- TC-8380 Tags Sports Defined
And I did use
TC-7988 -chipboard charms for the spine
To start .....yes the paper Game On TC-8786......I did cut out each and every little piece on the paper, do it while watching a movie at night....it really does make the album!!!!
Follow the top photo for placement of cut out images. I also cut the first 2 ruler strips from the top of the paper.....adhere them to the album and cut off the excess.
I added a photo on the cover for some "pop"
"optional" add some chipboard charms to the spine....or you can just leave it plain, this is the only place that I added the charms. If you are going to teach this as a class you can leave them out or just split up the package.
Page 1.... make sure when you cut this paper you cut right along the right side all the way down...you will want a slightly larger piece for the other half....like this....
Add one of your left over ruler strips at the bottom of the quote.
Page 2 Cut a strip of ruler off and then cut it to 6' wide. Adhere to the page.
To allow for a layering effect with your photos later, we are going to be adhering embellishments to the outside of the page protector, this way you can add a photo under the protector, on your layout and still have it look layered.
So slide the page back into the protector and then add your stamped image to the left side, and "success" over the top of that.
The rest of the layouts are done in a similar fashion, the ruler is always on the layout and the embellishments are on the outside page protector.
You will also want to cut out all of the 4x6 tags from the "No Pain, No Gain" paper. Follow the photos accordingly.
You will cut Tag Sports Defined paper in half and you will use each half as a separate page. This is the back side of the "champion" half of the paper, with "Game Day" Stamp image on top.
This is the back side of the Quote 6x12 paper, and on the opposite side I cut a 4x6 tag out and adhered it to the inside layout.
For the last page....this is why you needed 2 sheets of this paper.....you are going to cut out numbers to go 1-9....symbolizing ---growth---
So that's it....very easy and simple, and an album finished ready to capture your athlete.

Putting my stamp sets to GOOD use!!! I am all about homemade Christmas gifts this year, so following in Heidi Swapps footsteps I stamped images onto tissue paper and then using a heat tool, melted the tissue into the candle. I AM LOVING my results!!!!! My favorite is the black!!!
Favorite Memories by Ali Edwards
And then here are more ornament ideas for using these 3 stamp sets...
I just bought white fabric from the Walmart $1.00 table. I sprayed it with starch and ironed the fabric. Then I used a clear glass to trace the circles. I then stamped within the circles. Next I will cut them all out as well as the warm and natural middle and then a cut fabric for the back side. OHHHH I just get so giddy creating for others!!! All of my previous 25 I made are already gone. Love Christmas time!!!!

SO taking the same idea as shown by Donna Downey.....I added some Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards stamps to the mix, to make homemade gifts for Christmas.
I used
Favorite Memories by Ali Edwards
Technique Tuesday Ink but you can use any permanent ink. I used a clear glass cup for my circle tracer.....traced the circle and then stamped the circle image first, and then the words. I liked using different colored inks to give the ornament interest. You will also trace and cut out the circle from any festive fabric and I used warm and natural.
One cool thing that I love doing with clear stamps is forming them to the shape that I need the stamp to go. Simply place the clear block over your circle stamped image and form the words along the inside edge of the stamped image. As simple as that. Yes it will be backwards, but if it is a circle then it won't matter as it will still match up.
Once you have all 3 layers cut then you can stitch them together. You can pin the layers together if you would like, I found I was Ok not pinning. I did 3 times around trying to vary the circle a bit for a "un perfect" look.
Next you will need to add an eyelet to be able to hang your ornament. I used
We Are Memory Keepers Crop a Dial it punches through ANYTHING and punches the hole as well!!
And here is the first of many finished ornaments!!!! Thank you Donna for such a FABULOUS idea to expand upon!!!!!!! Simply Inspiring!!!

I love traditions!!!! Every year we put up the tree on Thanksgiving weekend. And I start playing Christmas music. I like Christmas to last as long as possible!!! And once December hits we seem to be so busy, so we take the long Thanksgiving weekend and use it!! We also make our trip to see Santa, and we pull out all of the Christmas books. Such fun!!! This year we are trying to add more service into our tradition. I want Christmas to be more about giving than receiving.
The whole reason for this season is our brother and Savior Jesus Christ. We tend to get away from that with all of the busy hustle and bustle of life. I want to try and bring that more into focus, and celebrate more this incredible life we have been given...for that is our true gift. And if we are to truly live we must first serve. This is my favorite season. Merry Christmas.
I also wanted to share our Christmas photo from last year!!! PRICELESS!!!!
All stamping done with this little SWEET DREAMS set.
And LOVE the SWANKY FRAMES

Ok so last year when I made the Countdown to Christmas I got inspired to make the base of a second album.....well I never got around to doing it, so I am using it this year....(notice the 2008 on the cover....oops need to change that one!!! So I will do a page a day and share it here.
Notice the handmade ornament hanging off the side....that was inspired by Donna Downey herself, so talented that girl!!! And she is having a free give away today!!!!
Album can be purchased here.
Inside the front cover. I used 7gypsies gaffer tape, but you could use your favorite paper as well.
Dec 1st......I am grateful for the play "Oliver!" that 3 of my children are performing right now....in fact this is closing week. Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday....and then sadly it ends. So today I am grateful for an AMAZING experience!!!!
So this was day 1....check back tomorrow for day 2.
ho ho ho stamp is sold out....but how about my favorite instead???

Ok I have a new found treasure!!!!!
you can purchase most of what they carry here.
SO many uses for the multi unit!!!! First here I used it to put up and display cards as I finished them!!
So simple you can just turn the rack and grab as you need them!!!
Then I thought a better use would be to hang all of my stamps up!!!! GREAT idea!!!!
Inside CD covers I added embellies to hang up....yummy!!
But in the end I added my Multi unit and my Jumbo unit together and put all of Tyler's books. This way we can mark what boos we have read as we go around. This has gotten Tyler WAY excited to read!!! We have made a deal that when he reads all of his books we are giving the unit to his teacher to use in the classroom!!! Don't you think this would be a teacher's dream?!?!?!? Love love love all of their products!! Stay tuned for additional products in use and 1 more idea for these units!!
